Works in partnership with indigenous communities to design and implement cost-effective, sustainable conservation strategies that promote community development, cultural renewal, and the strengthening of traditional authority. ACT supports internationally recognized traditional medicine clinics and ethnoeducational centers and helps indigenous communities map their territories in close collaboration with their respective national governments. ACT operates projects in the northwest Amazon in Colombia and the northeast Amazon in Suriname and Brazil.
