Works to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world. In partnership with local organizations, CWS nurtures sustainable development, aids in times of disaster, and assists refugees in a nonsectarian manor according to need. The organization responds to emergencies and follows up, when appropriate, with long-term support to rebuild lives and communities. CWS resettles refugees and works to find durable solutions that address the needs of uprooted people globally. Basic to all CWS's work is a commitment to building local capacity, strengthening civil society, and promoting human rights and the dignity of all people.
